As I posted an article on the Democratic Convention (see July's archive), I thought it would only be fair to post something about the Republican Connvention going on this week in New York.

Unfortunately, interesting articles and links are few and far between.

It seems the Democrats, by doing something unusual and inviting new media interest by having blogging guests have stolen the Republican fire.

In the media at least, the Republican conference is somewhat ignorable, despite the fact that the President, his family, Arnold Swarzenegger and George Bush's rival at the previous Election have all delivered speeches.

Thankfully there's only about 60 days left until the actual election. Can't wait, then all the name-calling and pointless, unrelenting arguments currently infesting the usenet newsgroups I frequent will be over and done with.

Someone asked not long ago for British opinion of the Election fever gripping the States. My answer:

"Weary disinterest"
